The goal from the start was to build a crew cab. short bed Jeep CJ pickup that looks like it could have been a production model. built by Jeep themselves. The idea was to have people say “I have never seen one of these before”. instead of “who built this. ” And the builders truly nailed the quest. Starting with a Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. the first thing was to extend the entire chassis by 40 inches. The body was then stretched and fabricated to include the two extra door jams. and a custom bulkhead behind the second seat row was created. The 6’ bed was then fabricated to provide plenty of storage for all the essential gear for your next adventure. Doors for the rear were then fabricated and installed. The next step was to build a motor that would have plenty of power. so that this Fully Custom 1984 Jeep CJ Crew Cab Short Bed Pickup could go anywhere. The 325hp GM V8 has been fully rebuilt and upgraded with many performance parts. An Edelbrock NASCAR Performance aluminum intake and matching Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor were added. A chrome dress-up kit was installed. including: valve covers. air breather. timing chain cover. dipstick. oil breathers. etc. The result was a motor that runs like new and looks beautiful doing it. The engine is bolted up to the infamous Jeep T-18 4 speed manual transmission with granny gear that has been coveted by offroad and adventure ready enthusiasts for decades and the legendary Jeep transfer case. This power-plant meets the road through jeep axels with 4:10 gears and new 37” Interco TrXus M/T tires. A SkyJacker 4” leaf spring lift kit combined with 1. 5” shackles provides 5. 5” of extra clearance. With Front disc brakes and power steering. this Jeep a blast to drive. Whether you are driving through beach sand. mountain snow or all the muddy trails in between. this combination is sure to get you there with ease. The interior was designed with one thing in mind: adventure. Brand New BESTOP waterproof seats were installed. All brand new three point seat belts were installed for safety and new Quadratec grab handles added. The rear door panels were fabricated to match the front factory style ones.
