Description for Jeep CJ 1979
I have for auction a nice 1979 jeep cj7. It is a 6cyl auto hardtop with Quadratrack. I believe that it is a true renegade Levi's addition but haven't found a way to prove it. Someone before me took out the front seats and they are now grey. The rest of the interior door panels dash and rear seat are all the Levi material with the big buttons on the back seat. I drive it back and forth to work and recently took it a hundred mile round trip. It runs down the road good at 55 mph it's has some typical jeep play in the steering and someone took off the power steering off of it so it's harder to turn then one with. The Quadratrack switch has been moved over by the driver and works great and when it engages the emergency drive light comes on on the gauge cluster. The glove box is out of it they are just cardboard. All gauges work including gas and temp and the lights work on them to. Heater works good to along with the windshield wipers. The transmission shifts well motor runs good sputters some at idle I figure it's just the carb. It runs great down the road and has good power. All lights work. All glass is good and hard top is in great shape not all beat up. The frame on the jeep is solid not rusted out or rotted. The body has some rust in normal cj areas but it's not a rust bucket floors are solid looks like a previous over may have patched some spots on the front floor boards but doesn't appear that it was bad. I tried to take pics of everything. There is some typical rust in the body lines where the fender wells meet the body and the rear corners in the back and a spot on the bottom of the passengers front fender. Definitely not a rust bucket a good solid jeep to drive or a good start to restore. It has new shocks all around newer cap and rotor and wires. Tires still have some life left. If you have any questions please just ask. As always I encourage personal inspection and I have tried to describe this jeep to the best of my knowledge. It is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early. If you have any questions my number is 870-656-6109 thanks.
