Description for Jeep CJ 1980
This 1980 Jeep CJ7 has that ideal mix where investments went into both utility and flair. And there are even the right hints of history, too, like the original powerhouse under the hood. The blue paint is done right on this Jeep. After all, these are meant for the outdoors, and the high quality respray knows how to radiate in the sunshine. It helps to show of the smooth/clean lines of the body, and it goes well with the Renegade-style fender flares. Still, it's not some overzealous metallic shade or a trailer queen application, so this one won't get you kicked out of the right 4x4 circles. And using a CJ to its fullest is what Jeep life is really about. That's why this one has upgrades, like lifted suspension and bumper tow hooks front & rear. Plus, there are some elements that add style and substance at the same time, like the Mickey Thompson polished 15-inch wheels that allow you to fit those meaty tires - including the full-size spare mounted on the rear.
A vehicle like this is all about being open to the world, and so they have given this a well-done color combo. The exterior blue returns on the roll bar and dash. Now it's joined by a tasteful tan. It looks good on the newer covers for the high-back bucket seats. And there's a locking center console in-between that also features cup holders. Not only is the upholstery done in tan, but also they gave the color to useful pieces, like the bikini top and rugged liner paint on the floor. So this Jeep has a handy and thoughtful setup.
Under the hood is the 258 cubic-inch inline-six. It's the believed original powerhouse for this CJ, and there is a ton of originality here including the correct 1980 engine date code. The consignor even believes this is a one-family vehicle where the odometer reflects actual mileage (unfortunately, there's currently no paperwork to confirm this.) But this has also received the right investments, like newer suspension components (including shocks) and newer suspension components. The two-speed transfer case, lifted stance, and Pro Comp Xterrain make this great 4x4. And the four-speed manual transmission gives you good control no matter if you're on the street or trail. The same anytime versatility also goes for the power steering and front disc brakes.
This CJ has been done the way you want it, and the price is quite nice. So don't miss you chance. Call today!!!
