Description for Jeep J3000 Kaiser Mega Mud truck Monster 1965
Vehicle Details1965 Jeep Gladiator truck. J-3000 . Mud truck hot rod project. Cab is 1965 Jeep gladiator sitting on a 3/4 ton Chevy chassis. Dana 44 front open differential with disc brakes. 14 bolt GM welded spool rear. 4.10 gear ratio, drum brakes. Big Block Chevy 396 bored out to 402cid large oval port heads cast iron heads, Edelbrock Single plane hirise intake manifold, Holley 850 double pumper. High compression Pop up pistons 12.5 compression ratio, solid lifter camshaft. Turbo 350 transmission with 3500 converter, NP203 transfer case. I have the rear bed sides, extra hoods, doors, and a tailgate. Also have 44inch Gumbo Monster Mudder tires on steel chrome 16.5 wheels. The street legal setup.. And I have extra transfer case drop box custom made chain drive setup. I have owned the truck for over twenty years and haven't made much progress lately. The truck needs the brakes, steering and cooling systems complete. Engine was freshened up with new head gaskets in 1996 to lower compression ratio. It was started and ran a handful of times afterward. It ran and sounded really good! Then.. off to college I went leaving the Jeep gladiator to sit, till I had some time for it.. now over 20 years flew by and I have not touched it.. no time... I cleaned her up just for the photos. The engine will need to have the plugs pulled and the cylinders lubricated before trying to crank up. This would be a awesome truck once running. But it's got to go NO RESERVE AUCTION
