For sale is a 1971 Toyota FJ40 land cruiser. VIN FJ40117551 This truck runs. drives and stops. All the heavy body work has been done. Complete replacement of all the sheet metal from the driver’s floor to the main support beam back is all new. Including the main beam. mid bed. rear bed. fenders and tubs. I have receipts totaling $3. 35 in new parts. not including the cost of the brand new rims with new Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires 31 X 10. 5 X 15. That is at least another $1. 00. As for the mechanicals. the engine runs but the carb needs to be tuned. All the body electrical needs to be done as well. The 4wd works and the transmission was replaced with a 4 speed from the original 3 speed at some point. The engine is the stock 6 cylinder engine. nothing has been done to the engine. It has the hard top included but that has not been restored but all of the glass is good. I have the tailgate and rear jumper seats but they all need to be restored also. Also included is some brand new misc. OEM parts pictured here. I have time laps pictures of the entire restoration process and I will provide the buyer with a CD with all the pictures. I want to be clear. THIS IS NOT READY FOR PAINT AND IS NOT ROAD WORTHY AT THIS POINT. The primer was installed just to keep it from rusting but the detailed body work still needs to be completed before paint. The brakes and engine and electrical need to be gone through before it is road worthy. Additional new items: new ignition coilnew voltage regulator new exhaust from engine to tail pipe Located in Southington CT and is available for inspection.
