1989 Range Rover 2 Door Turbo Diesel in excellent condition throughout. Fully rebuilt motor 4,000 miles ago. Rust free vehicle originally from southern Spain which has a very dry climate. This Range Rover has only covered 106,500 KM which is 66,000 miles. Factory AC and power windows. The best example you'll find anywhere. Selling with No Reserve to the highest bidder.
It is listed on here as a 1980 because Ebays VIN decoder does not recognize the European VIN. My Range Rover is a 1989 model which is confirmed on the title.
My Range Rover is in excellent mechanical shape. The motor was fully rebuilt 4,000 miles ago at a cost of over $7,000. A new clutch was also fitted at the same time along with a full transmission and drivetrain service. It has recently had all new brakes. The tires are around 4,000 miles old and in excellent condition. The suspension and steering are also in excellent condition. This Range Rover runs and drives as well as it did when new. The engine uses no oil or coolant. It has no leaks from the engine or transmission. Since the motor rebuild I have used it for one long trip out to the west coast and back and several times locally. It uses no oil at all between oil changes. It pulls very well and will happily cruise at 70-80 mph still with plenty of acceleration available if you should need to go faster. It has enough torque to maintain 70 mph in 5th gear on any of the steep climbs I encountered on my trip out west through the Rockies. The engine starts instantly every time and runs at the correct temperature even when sat in traffic for hours. It has 2 new very expensive batteries. It has no tow hitch fitted and has never in its life been used for towing. Overall the mechanical condition of this Range Rover is excellent.
The body is in very good condition. There is no rust anywhere. The frame is immaculate including the outriggers and rear crossmember. The tailgate is in excellent condition with no rust as are the rockers. The original white paint is in very good condition. All mouldings, rim and bumpers are excellent. There are a few minor dents as with most used vehicles but nothing to detract from the overall excellent appearance of this Range Rover. The aluminum rims have recently been refurbished and are like new. Overall the exterior and frame of this Range Rover are as good as you will find anywhere.
The interior is also in excellent condition. The 'teddy bear' upholstery is in excellent shape. There are no cigarette burns because it has never been smoked in. The original cigarette lighter has never even been used. There is some very minor wear to the edge of the drivers seat but barely noticeable. The dash is in very good condition. Everything works except the radio. The power windows work great which is a very rare option on a 2 door Range Rover. It has factory fitted AC which blows cold but could probably do with recharging. There is some slight damage to the center console as with most of these Range Rovers from people leaning on them but replacements are easily sourced if this should bother you. The headliner is perfect with no sagging or rips. It has the original Range Rover rubber floor mats still fitted and in very good condition. The vinyl door panels are in great shape with no rips or damage. The original Range Rover owners manual is present and in good condition. It is very clean inside as I like to vacuum it once a week.
This is the best example of an original un-restored 2 door Turbo Diesel Range Rover that you will find in North America and possibly the World. These were only sold new in France and Spain so are relatively rare especially in this condition with such low mileage. It should provide many trouble free years of pleasure for its new owner with the fully rebuilt diesel motor and new tires. This Range Rover really does run great. And when you see it you feel like you have stepped back in time to the 80's because it looks so clean and fresh. Truly a time warp example of the classic Range Rover.
