Description for Land Rover Defender 1980

I have a 110 V8 which is not perfect and can use a little attention, lthoughyou can also use it asadaily driver right after you buy it.
Really, his car was only driven by a lady for the last 12 years and was always maintained by a Land Rover specialist. It has done 300K miles and the engine was ones overhauled. No papers to back this up but the engine is really nice running, asy starting and plenty of power, o I have reasons to believe this story. Also the gearbox is really quite for a LT95, t wouldn't surprise me that this was replaced also.
It is recently imported from Europe and comes with all the import documents.
The Good:
- all original Land Rover 110
- decent interior except the inward facing seats in the back
- body pretty straight, ome minor dents. I wouldn't do anything about it, hows it character
- drives nice, lenty of power no weird noises, ibrations or anything
- brakes and steering good
- frame solid, ut repaired
- door frames, n decent (not perfect) shape, would recommend treatment before they get bad
- LH C pillar repaired, H in good shape
- Four almost new tires, pare is new
- bulkhead under windscreen in good condition
The Bad::
- leaking muffler
- Frame solid but repaired. Rear cross member looks strong and solid but is home made.
- Engine can use a tune up. Runs nice but a little back fire when you release the throttle.
- attaching point of rear seat belts need repair
- One part of the headliner is sagging a little
- both rear quarters have a dent at the bottom corner. Have some chequer plate to hide.
- little dent at RH fender
- driver side foot well repaired
- passenger side foot well needs repair
After this "bad" list, ou might think have your doubts about the condition of this car. I would call it average and I am sure that many of the 110's up for sale have the same issues (or more) but are only listed 'different'.
If you don't know what a Defender is, f you don't have any technical knowledge and if you cannot work on the car yourself, on't waste both of our time; this is not the car for you. If you are looking for a LHD Defender because you like these cars with character, f you can accept that you sometimes have to work on them and if you don't want to pay the top price they normally ask for a LHD 110, his is the change for you.

Car is in MI and you are more then welcome to check it out.
