Description for Land Rover Defender 1966
1966 Series IIa 88" 2.25 liter petrol. This has been my daily driver for the last 6 months. My commute is @100 miles round trip per day and it never gives me an issue. Currently set up with Mazda Miata front seats and a custom center console but I have the original gray hounds tooth interior (3 front and 2 rear bench seats). Rest of the truck is pretty much stock. This truck is very solid and rust free in all of the usual trouble spots. Soft top and hard top. If you do not understand what you are purchasing ask lots of questions.EBay limits the number of pics so let me know what you want to see and I will send you a picture of it. I reserve the right to end the auction as this vehicle is listed in other places. Sold as i, here is.On Sep-23-15 at 08:09:13 PDT, eller added the following information:****Buyers with less than 10 eBay rating or recent negative transactions must contact me prior to bidding otherwise your bid will be cancelled!****
On Sep-23-15 at 11:33:37 PDT, eller added the following information:I just realized that I forgot to discuss the mileage on this vehicle. The mileage is NOT listed at 0 because the truck does NOT have any miles on it. The mileage is listed at zero because their in "I have no freakin' idea" option. The odometer does not work and has not since I bought it. It reads @ 23,000 miles all the time. I can tell you that I have put about 10,000 miles on it myself since purchasing it. I did stop at a local tire shop to have them turn the spare tire around for me...the tires on the truck all have the white letters on the inside as did the spare when I got the truck. My issue was that when you mount the spare on the bonnet you mount it upside down. This means that with the tire mounted as the others are it is the only tire where you could see the white letters and I couldn't have that because well, 'm crazy like that. Anyway, digress. The tire shopped that I asked to turn the spare around initially refused to do it. They told me that they wouldn't mount a tire that is more than 10 years old....my point being that the tires on this truck are more than 10 years old and had more than 90% of the tread left when I got it. You can infer how much the previous owner drove this thing from there. I, n the other hand, rive it almost every day and it just runs/drives/and shifts great. 4wd operates as it should. I changed the transmission and transfer case fluid and the old fluid came out clean...no debris whatsoever. Same with the oil which I change before every 3000...probably even more if you count what leaks out and is refilled between oil changes!!! :-)
