I have for sale our 1991 Range Rover Classic SWB with 203,232 miles. It is alpine white with sorrell brown leather interior. For the year this SUV has a ton of factory options and most of them still work, urprisingly. Both the air conditioning and heat work. The fan for both work at all speed settings. The power windows and door locks work as well. The sunroof tilts and slides open and shut as it should. Both front seats have power functions- the driver's side seat switch moves forward and backward intermittently (probably could benefit from electric contact cleaner). The passenger's side seat switch seems to work perfectly. The radio works and sounds decent; however, e got a tape stuck in the cassette player. The cruise control, mazingly, till works. The power steering feels a little stiff but our 1993 County LWB feels only a little better so this is probably normal. It still drives and handles very well. The windshield wiper stalk was broken when we purchased the vehicle and we glued it back together. A new one wouldn't be terribly costly but we just use it gently and it serves it's purpose. The headlights, aillights, rake lights, nd all turn signals lights work as they should. The leather interior, ront and rear, s in very good shape as the owner before us had a set of seat covers on them. The headliner is still attached to the roof with a few imperfections here and there but overall it is in much better shape than most. The tires are a matching set of Toyo Open Country A/T 255/65/16s on the original wheels. There is decent amount of tread remaining. The SUV rides down the highway in a straight line with no shimmy and in relative comfort. The shocks are a matching set of yellow Bilsteins. The 3.9L v8 engine has lots of miles on it but it was well maintained by its previous owner- it still has lots of power and pep. The transmission shifts smoothly as well. Our 93 with less miles and a larger (4.2L) engine feels sluggish in comparison and clunks into gears whereas this 1991 does not. The previous owner installed an aftermarket exhaust and air intake system so this may help the performance. The exhaust note is deep and on the highway it may drone a bit with the windows down. The transfer case engages both hi and lo with ease and allows this SUV to make it through most any terrain you find yourself on. We just had the tires rotated and balanced and the shop checked out the brakes while the wheels were off. The pads look to have been replaced very recently as there is little wear. There is no corrosion on the upper tailgate. There is surface corrosion spots in a few places but there are no places where it is rusted straight through. This Rover has been in northern California and Nevada all of its life. The battery holds a charge nicely and the Rover starts up on the first try each and every time- even after sitting unused for 7 to 10 days. The original heated windshield has a crack in the upper left corner but it has been there for years (since the previous owner) and several little spots on the windshield have been filled by a glass place to keep them from spreading. There are no warning lights illuminated on the dash. Some of the lower dash light bulbs around the HVAC area are burned out and need to be replaced. The shocks holding the upper tailgate up are worn out and don't hold it up. There is a long piece of wood that is included but these struts are approximately $30 a pair new. We just never got around to replacing them because the piece of wood worked so well. The paint is original and the body panels are straight for the most part- this is a 1991 so the body and paint aren't exactly showroom quality. There is a 2" hitch receiver in the back, s normal, ND one in the front as well. The previous owner had it welded on. Also, here are attachments for a snow plow in the front if you so choose, hough a snow plow is not included. The piece of vent trim on the left of the steering wheel went missing and so did the driver's side carpet. The space is covered by a rubber floor mat. Overall this Range Rover still looks presentable and definitely turns heads. I've tried to be as straightforward in my description of our Range Rover. I am not an automobile expert by any means. Why are we selling this? We bought it to replace my 1993 LWB when I thought the engine had gone out but it turned out to only need a water pump and some coolant hoses. So I tried to rationalize to my wife that we could save this '91 for our son for when he is old enough to drive but he isn't even 1 yet and we don't have the space or the funds to store it. We each have a Range Rover and we simply cannot keep a third. It will make a nice daily driver for someone or an off road monster. There are Classics going for a lot of cash these days! Ours isn't perfect but it still smells of luxurious leather when you open the doors and hop in.
