Description for Land Rover Discovery 1994

1994 Land Rover Discovery
Up for sale is my Disco. Its a great truck that has been well maintained with lots of extras. I am selling because I need something to make longer highway journeys thing in and this truck is not ideal for that. It is a 20 year old Land Rover so it certainly isn't perfect but its been taken care of by experienced mechanics. 130k miles, which is fairly low for a truck of this age. Its a lot of fun to drive around and gets tons of complements, these things are great off road. All emissions are current.
This truck has the R380 5spd MANUAL TRANSMISSION. It is a very rare option, even more rare to find one in a Disco that has been taken care of. I took it to the Land Rover dealer here in Atlanta and the service tech said he had only heard about them, never seen one. The clutch was replaced around 500mi ago, as well as the rear main seal. One thing to note here - the 2nd gear synchro is worn. It still shifts fine, but it cannot be slam-shifted from first to 2nd. All of the other synchros are fine.
The clear coat on the paint has definitely faded (very common for old LR's) but with the white color it actually looks alright. There are a few areas where its been scratched from bushes from off roading.
The truck had a valve cover gasket leak at some point (since fixed) but the leak caused oil to hit the manifold and smoke under the hood. There is a residue from this smoke over quite a bit of the engine/bay. I cleaned most of it off but it could use a pressure-wash to be perfect.
This one has not had the head gaskets replaced. If I were to keep the truck for a few more years I would do it. Most folks tend to do theirs around the 150k mileage mark.
Transfer case has been swapped out to the newer, quieter version out of a D2.
All fluids changed on regular intervals.
