1987 Land Rover Defender 110, Rebuilt 200tdi, New Ashcroft R380, Upgraded Needs NOTHING.
I purchased this 110 last year and have completely gone through it. Has been on several off road events, not mudded, and is ready for the next. I drive it several times a week, 40 mile round trip up the interstate at 70 MPH and have taken it several hours to events, no problem, 28-30 MPG. Small black puff at start up and clears up very quickly (Thanks to new rings ). If it works out I will transition to a 5 door defender, if not I will continue to enjoy it.
The drivetrain:
200tdi from a 1991 Discovery
New timing belt and pulleys
Crank seal
New Water Pump
New Elring head gasket
Removed, inspected piston
Replaced big end bearing
New rings on all pistons (rehoned cylinders “cross hatching”)
New Garrett Tubo /manifold, wastegate
New Conversion Downpipe
Injectors pop tested, new washers
Rebuilt head (pressure tested, valve job, and valve seals)
Genuine LR clutch and throwout
Converted to Power steering (works great)
New Ashcroft R380 Stumpy gearbox w/ linkage and all upgrades, HD bearings option, and higher 5th gear
1.4 Transfercase (resealed with new Ashcroft cross drilled input gear)
Axles factory and maintained
HD steering link and TREs

Nice MOD 3 door, straight and 95% corrosion and rust free (Minor surface rust if any)
