Why pay the higher prices in the states when it is so easy to have one imported. I have exported around 100 Land Rovers to the states with all export data to hand to prove this. I have never had an issue with anything I have sent. All my vehicles are 100 per cent exportable with all requirements met in that they all have standard chassis, engine etc and are all over the 25 year threshold. I work closely with a very good shipper and I can arrange shipping for the winning bidder. Included in the agreed price is road transport to the UK docks. Approx shipping is 2000 usd to the east coast and 2500 usd to the west coast. The shipper I use can also arrange for it to be delivered to your door at extra cost.
So on to the landy. It is a Land Rover Series 3 featuring a 2.25 petrol engine. It is a very rare safari station wagon and is as it left the factory. It underwent a restoration a few years back and is in very good shape. The whole body is excellent and it is a very solid example. The doors are all in good order. The frame is rock solid as is the bulkhead. All in all very good indeed.
The interior is also clean and tidy as you can see from the images. It has the genuine safari roof with the vents in. The floor pans are all very good indeed. The dash is also in very good condition. It does not need anything and is ready to use as it is.
Mechanically it is excellent. It starts up great and thr motor runs strong and quiet. It accelerates well and all the gears change smoothly with no issues. The clutch is excellent also. The brakes all work well and the steering is nice and precise. All the electrics work as they ought to. The 4wd and 2wd selection as well as the locking front wheel hubs all work. The motor was overhauled a few years back and is a turn key motor ready to use.
