A stunning, beautifully restored and unique Land Rover Defender 110. Very rare. original LHD, matching numbers, V8 engine with just under 63,000 miles.
I have owned this truck for 3+ years. It was restored in the UK by the renowned Land Rover specialists, Defenders Direct and is the second 110 I've had them restore over the years. It underwent a full strip down to the chassis. New doors/panels, reconditioned engine and running gear, new brakes, new suspension, sound proofing, interior and paint. I upgraded and customised the interior, added a 3rd row of seats (seats 7 now), full custom fitted leather dashboard,alcantara headliner and trim, heated seats, JW Speaker LED lights, new air-conditioning compressor, stainless steel exhaust system, new wheels, tires and a custom designed roll cage that runs throughout the length of the truck.
The roll cage is specifically designed to allow the removal of the hard top (if desired), and the fitting of a soft top over the roll cage. This gives the new owner the comfort of safety whilst enjoying the soft top "beachcomber" style during the summer. Also included in the sale is a new, painted and read to use half-door for the rear of the truck if/when a soft top is fitted. I've not included pictures of this but am happy to do so if needed.
The truck was correctly imported and registered in the US, taxed and titled and has a clean Ohio title and other paperwork.
This is a unique vehicle. Only a small number of Defender 110 V*'s were produced and even fewer had air-conditioning. The low mileage meant the engine and transmission were in great working order pre-restoration, never the less they were thoroughly gone-through with all ancillary elements renewed. New suspension, brakes, wheels and tires means the truck runs smoothly and will comfortably do 75+ mph.
On my previous Defender I fitted a double-din, Apple Play, stereo/GPS system with rear camera. I have not done so on this one but can guide the new owner on where/how to do it. Very simple and useful.
This Defender is in excellent condition. There is a tiny scratch (-5mm) on the passenger side rear upper roof panel, otherwise the paint is in as-new condition.
