1979 Land Rover Series 3 NO RESERVE

Description for Land Rover Other 1979

Land Rover Series III right hand drive with manual transmission. The engine is an inline 6 cylinder GM gas engine that runs well and provides plenty of power. The body is solid with no rust on the frame or undercarriage. There are no electrical issues. All of the lights work. The roof bar light was added recently. The vehicle was shipped to the U.S. from South Africa.
The Rover is in good condition, butit is not perfect. The steering is a bit loose. There are two U-joints on the steering column that should be replaced. I have the new ones to install. The gears need to be shifted slowly (which is common in these vehicles). The fuel gauge does not work. The driver's window rolls up, but then gradually sags down about an inch. Overall, this is a solid and mechanically sound vehicle that is enjoyable to drive.

The vehicle was repainted at one point. It was originally yellow.

The mileage shows just over 14,000 km. The last owner said the odometer flipped once, which means it has 114,000 km, which equals about 72,000 miles.
