Description for Land Rover Defender 1988
VIN: SALLDVAB8EA327961Legally imported into the US. DOT. EPA. CBP paperwork in hand. Beautiful frame-on restoration of a 1988 Land Rover Defender 90 left-hand drive. No detail was spared in bringing this truly unique car back to life. Painted in a two-tone Pembroke Pennine grey and matte black accents makes this one of the most striking Defenders you’ll see. Aggressive. elegant. understated. The fully refurbished 2. 5 tdi starts on the turn of the key and runs smoothly. A list of the work done is detailed below. The main chassis was rust-free and in excellent condition except for the typical crossmember (rear bumper) issues. This was replaced with a new factory piece and the entire chassis was media blasted and painted with a high-quality undercarriage paint. The body was also in top condition with the usual issues of rust in the foot wells. rear corners and door hinges. The entire body was media blasted both inside and out with many sections dismantled (roof. windshield. doors. mid-section panels) to ensure no rust was left behind. Aluminum etching primer was reapplied across the body sections and body work done where necessary prior to a fresh paint job. Nearly all seals/rubbers and fasteners (screws. nuts/bolts) have been replaced with new pieces. All hinges were media blasted and powder coated to ensure rust protection. The hardware and fasteners have all been replaced with new ones. The door and window mechanisms have been fully dismantled and replaced with new pieces where necessary and are now in properly working condition.
