The last owner (a Navy Capt. ) had it converted to the very desirable Td5 diesel engine about 4 years ago . By the time the conversion was done he had invested close to $30. 00. - Please check your own state's law if this could be a problem. It was first registered in NC and later on in IN with no issues at all. Most states do not require a smog checks for cars and trucks this old anyway and I believe diesel engines have no requirements either. Anyway the Land Rover comes with a clear Indiana title. This Defender runs and drives absolutely fantastic. It shifts smoothly through all gears and the brakes are fantastic as well. A true pleasure to drive for sure. All of the work was done from 2009 to 2011 and the truck had 23K miles on it. It performs like a new Diesel with lots of torque and power. The paint is very acceptable with only a few minor flaws. Some of the extras are: roof rack with ladder 4 Hella spot lights with 2 separate switches 1 rear spot light headlight guards tow package hi-lift jack Cooper Discoverer STT LT 285 / 75 R 16 tires are in near new condition.
