The Lincoln Continental Mark II was known as 'America's Most Expensive Car' and required twice as many man hours to produce as a standard Lincoln. In 1955-57 It was the most expensive motorcar in America, ince the Duesenberg, nd cost $2,000 more than the most expensive Cadillac. In 1956, he Mark II sold for $9,695. This 4,825 pound vehicle was available with a single option: air conditioning.
This Lincoln is powered by the original rebuilt overhead-valve, 8, eveloping 300 horsepower and coupled to a 3-speed rebuilt Turbo-Drive automatic transmission, as capable of 118 miles-per-hour.
