Description for Lincoln Continental 1977
I really don't want to send Grandpa's baby to the crusher. But I'm losing my storage space.460 cubic inch Ford motor and automatic transmission in a 1977 Lincoln Continental.
The good news is that this diamond in the rough only has 89,337 original miles and Grandpa took great care of it.
The bad news is that it has that it has been sitting for several years. The rare two door land-yacht could be restored but it would be a big job as it has rust around the rear window, he taillights and the rear floor pan. The windshield has a crack in it and there is other water damage. Has not been started in a long time so will need to be towed.
BUT everything is there including the removable side skirts and everything is straight and I can't find a ding or scratch on any of the trim. The bumpers are good and there is treasure trove of other parts.
If I could, 'd throw the motor and tranny in an old Galaxy and make a kool retro rocket.
What will you do?
Restore it?
Part it out and make a bundle?
Pull the motor for a big block Rat Rod and sell the rest for scrap?
Buyer responsible for pick up and delivery.
Thanks, nd good luck.
