Description for Lincoln Mark Series 1977
Beautiful car in superb condition, nside, utside, nd underneath. Less than 19,000 miles, wo owners, nd with a fresh high quality repaint in the correct original color. Most miles were accumulated from 1977 to 1979, fter which the car was stored. It was sold as part of the original owner's estate sale in 2009 when I acquired it. The paint was heavily oxidized, hough absolutely zero rust damage occurred anywhere, nd a thorough driver restoration has been in progress since 2012. It is now finished, eautiful, eliable, nd ready to drive anywhere, ny time.
The body was disassembled, ll glass out, ll trim removed, nd completely stripped to metal in preparation for a quality repaint in its original Dark Cordovan Metallic color. Bright work has all been polished, everal parts replaced with NOS or NOS-quality. Undercarriage was cleaned, anded, nd brush painted with POR-15; not concourse correct (that would mean a lot of bare steel) but all will be black, lean, hiny, nd serviceable for a very long time, nstead. Floors are all perfect and were left original, ntouched. All looks great together.
The interior was completely removed and the carpet cleaned, igh density floor padding/insulation was added. Power window and seat mechanisms were thoroughly cleaned and re-lubricated. Engine accessories all removed and refurbished, artially repainted (drive train was not removed, o need). New true dual exhaust with H-pipe, attery and alternator, ires, elts. . .more. Hoses with stapled wire clamps and numbered ignition wires are original and very nice.
Work remaining includes the radio; FM gets static only, M works fine. I will provide a working AM/FM Quadrasonic 8-track unit, hich is a correct factory upgrade. The passenger side mirror is difficult to adjust, orking on that. That's it - everything else is in great working condition including the Cartier clock, ll windows (with optional power vents), ll 6-way adjustments on both seats, ower locks, ll gauges, tc. Air conditioning blows ice cold with the completely original R-12 system, o modifications done since new.
Recently completed a 600 mile round trip over a weekend, ith zero issues. Body, aint, hrome, rim, echanicals, ccessories -- all superb. Runs, rives, tops, urns, erfectly. The only interior flaws are few signs of age/wear in the leather, ut overall is also excellent.
