Description for Lincoln Continental 1969
Up for your consideration is a 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III. With only 52. 00 miles on the clock. this vehicle is the perfect example of well preserved. all original barn find. I recently purchased property next door to our lake cabin and found this vehicle tucked away under a tarp in the garage. It was last registered in 1990. The previous owner stored this Lincoln due to a faulty brake master cylinder over 20 years ago. After putting it in storage. he passed away leaving the car sitting for the last 20+ years. The man's wife had no use for the car and gave it to me when I purchased the property on which it was stored. It's currently titled in my name. I've thought about getting it running since it's in great condition but. I simply don't have the time AND I need the space badly so it has to go. The car is rust free and the metal is very straight. The paint is excellent for the age aa well. The interior has no rips or tears and the headliner is still in place. The hubcaps are in the trunk of the car. It's all in one piece except for the master brake cylinder which was the reason the car was stored. The part was removed but. not replaced (see pic). The car has 52. 00 original miles on the odometer. I don't know if it turns over. I haven't tried it. It has water and antifreeze in the radiator and has not frozen in the past. I'm certain the fuel (if it has any in it) is bad and needs to be drained. Oil looks clean but is 20 years old. Rear differential drips gear oil due to bad seal at the diff plate from sitting. Tires were low on air when I found it but once aired up I've never added any. Lots of tread. Tires are not weather checked since it's been stored indoors. Vehicle is located near Camdenton Missouri. It is offered for sale as is. where is. There are no guarantees on this car. This is all I know about it but. if you have questions. please ask before bidding. I will not ship however. I will make the car available to the shipper with reasonable notice. I would have to drive down to the cabin to meet the shipper since it's locked in a garage. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I will answer all questions to the best of my ability. On Dec-10-14 at 15:54:12 PST. seller added the following information: The breather/air filter assemble is also in the trunk with the hubcaps. The paint is excellent with two small chips on one side behind one of the wheels about the size of a quarter with no rust. Just needs touch up there. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears. Just normal wear you'd get by using it for 52K miles.
