1978 Lincoln Continental Base Hardtop 2-Door 6.6L

Description for Lincoln Continental 1978

My Father purchased this Lincoln Continental Mark V new in June of 1978. Since that time, t has been garaged inside with regular oil changes and maintenance. In short, his'gem' of a carwas his pride and joy until his passing last year at age 95. This is a smoke-free car!!

I now have the clear title to the vehicle.

The 400 C. I. engine is in excellent condition, ith no oil leaks or smoke. I had the seal around the water pump repaired this past year, nd while they did that that put in a new timing chain and added new belts.

The automatic transmission provides a smooth, uiet ride.

The interior is in excellent shape with all the power controls in good working order.

The car still has the original vinyl top in good condition and the original paint only has some surface rust around the front side markers and just below the doors, ut overall very good condition with the chrome still very good and rust-free.

The comfortable ride is alsoenhanced by P235-70 whitewall radials with just 12,000 miles on them.

What needs done? The air conditioning has not been converted, he surface rust in the lower panels on the sides would need touch-up (below the side moulding and easy to match), he power antennae has recently stopped working (might be jammed?), he windshield is cracked in the lower passenger-side corner (below the hood deck line).

Inspections are welcome. The car is for sale locally and if sold, he auction will be canceled.
Please remember, his is a 37 year old car.
