Description for Lincoln Continental 1965
1965 Lincoln Continental, very low miles and very original. Brand new exhaust including 2 new mufflers and 2 new resonators. Recent tune up including new spark plugs, wires, cap, filters and oil change. The interior door panels, front and rear seats, headliner and dash are in very nice condition. All of the lights work, including the brake lights, turn signals, headlights, dash lights and courtesy lights. All of the gauges work along with the electric seat and horn. All of the windows work from all of the switches, including the 2 electric side wing windows. AM/FM radio works, the electric antenna motor works, but the antenna does not go up and down. The Continental also has the optional head light dimmer. A Mark air conditioning unit was installed, but was removed, it appears that all of the parts to reinstall it are present and are included with the sale of the car. The majority of the exterior chrome is nice. The body panels are very straight. The Continental was repainted years ago in the original color and the paint still shines very well. There are several scratches on the hood and trunk that were poorly touched up. There are minor rust area by the rear of the back doors. There was minor repairs made to the passenger floor boards and a few other minor spots. The car starts and runs very strong. There is a minor oil leak when the car sits for a while, it looks to be the oil pan gasket. The brakes were soft and a new master cylinder was installed and now they are not applying, they are being address, but may or may not be repaired. Several of the vacuum lines were disconnected, but are being addressed (trying to figure out where they go!). A new trunk seal was installed. The tires have excellent tread. The Lincoln has the original head pad, and included in the sale is the original owners manual, shop manual and period correct Maryland tags.
