Description for Lincoln Town Car 1977
This car is pretty cool. It is pretty rare as it came as a hard top and was sent out to be customized to convertible. My understanding is they used the parts from the1973 LTD top for the conversion. Once belonged to Joey Buttafuoco. (Minor Celebrity)It has been sitting in a warehouse in Southern California since 2004. I bought it, put a fuel pump and a battery in it and it started right up. It has all new tires, brakes, Radiator, thermostat, coolant, exhaust pipes and flow master mufflers. Rebuilt carburetor, removed fuel tank to clean and reseal, Changed oil and filter, air and fuel filter, new shocks, it is lowered (they heated the springs) Dual electric antennas, WOW and the trunk is big enough to haul 6 dead bodies or smuggle a few of your closest friends across the border. HAHAHA. The engine starts on first turn, drives and stops so smooooth. Rides like the big boat that it is. It is a total head turner. Very unique. It is not a perfect car, the clock does not work, the interior needs some love. The trunk rusted out from sitting with water in it but has been rebuilt. The rest of the car has some slight pitting on the rear view mirrors and a small spot of rust under the paint on the left rear quarter near where the top was cut off. Power Convertible top is in great shape and goes up and down without a hitch. Windows, door locks, headlight doors, tilt wheel and power antennas all work fine. I converted the A/C system to R134 and it blows ice cubes. I have included some pics, but if you are genuinely interested I can shoot some more of what you think you want to see.
