Description for Lincoln Continental 1967
Now available is my 1967 Lincoln Continental. History. I bought this from the original family that bought this brand new. It was driven on business trips mostly back in the 60's. After a couple of years it was parked. It has spent most of the last 40 years in a climate controlled garage. Some years later this car had been partially repainted. About two years ago I purchased the car. I had hopes of fixing up the car and driving it. That same year I purchased two other lincoln convertibles. Long story short I started working on them and found I didn't have time to work on all three. I have spent time and money getting this car back to working order again. I purchased most of my parts from Lincoln Land and John Brewer. I had the engine professionally rebuilt last year. I currently have it registered and drive it on nice days in the summer. I had the convertible top worked on so it operates well now. Some of the window motors were worn and the bad ones got replaced. All the windows work and has powered vent windows. I had the air conditioning recharged. but later had trouble with the clutch on the compressor. The clutch needs to be replaced befor the air can be fixed. The interior is in nice condition. the dash has a small crack next to the speaker. This is very common. I had a brand new clock installed. Has the town and country fm radio with foot switch to change stations. Power seat is currently not functioning. Power locks will work one of the vacuum lines is leaking. I can hear it when I push the button. Exterior:Is in relatively good condition. With no rot or holes of any kind. The paint is worn and is starting check and peal in some areas. (Mostly passenger fender)There are some isolated dings. Chrome looks good. It is Missing the hood ornament. Engine runs good. Plenty of power. Starts every time. Even on cold days. It could used some fine tuning to get it to perform its best. I have not done anything with the transmission. It works and shifts fine. but may need a rebuild down the road. The seals leak a little bit when it sits for a long time. Tires hold air good. Brakes stop well. New calipers. The brakes need some adjusting it sometimes pulls to the left when hitting breaks hard. There is a slight bit of play in the steering. It is a fun car to drive. I don't nessasarilly think this will be sold on eBay. I am just using this as an avenue to try to find a buyer for this car. I would recommend inspecting this car in person. I will show this at anyone's conveiniance. I can get more photos on request. the problem is this car is in storage for the winter. Quality photos will be difficult due to confined space of my garage. If you would like to make arrangements to purchase this car. I can store this till spring when the snow is gone and the weather is better for moving cars. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Give me a call if you are interested. (989)413-0476
