Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this stunning and original low mileage 1988 Lincoln Towncar Signature Series. This Lincoln is in amazing original condition. The car looks beautiful, runs great, and drives awesome. This Lincoln is a time capsule of how luxury cars used to be the Signature Series offered up all the best options available in 1988, some way ahead of their time. The car has great lines and is totally solid. This is an excellent opportunity to own an exceptional Towncar that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value.

There is copy of the AutoCheck report on this car pictured below. It is totally clean and shows no accident history and verifies the low mileage.

We purchased this car from the original owner that bought it in 1988 and has owned it for 31 years. It is incredibly hard to find a classic with this type of long ownership history. The previous owner stated that the car has been stored indoors its entire life. It has never been in any kind of accident, has never been painted, and has been lovingly cared for all these years. According to the previous owner the paint, interior, and vinyl top are all original. The previous owner was an avid car collector and well known classic truck collector and restorer. We actually purchased four cars from him, an Eldorado convertible, a DeVille convertible, and a classic Mercedes convertible, this Lincoln was his evening car for their nights out on the town. Any car can be painted or restored, but cars are only original once and originally cannot be reproduced. The classic car market has been favoring originality over restored examples in recent times.

This Towncar is finished in the beautiful, highly desirable, and exceptionally rare color combination of Oxford White (9L) over Burgundy Leather (QD) with a Burgundy half vinyl roof. This is the factory original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag in the driver's door jam, which is pictured in this ad. The very low original mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured in this ad, that states the mileage as "Actual." Please peruse all of the photos, video, and information in this ad to get a true sense of clean, nice, and original this Towncar really is.

As a side note, this Lincoln is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about this Towncar, just give us a call.

Exterior

The Oxford White (9L) exterior is in excellent original condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has an excellent gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. All the doors open and shut nicely and the car exhibits excellent body panel fit overall with consistent gaps. The chrome and other bright work is in fantastic condition with a brilliant finish and no major pitting. All the chrome rocker trim is in great shape along with all the chrome accents on this car. The original hubcaps are in great condition with a nice finish. The whitewall tires have plenty of tread left. The car it is totally solid underneath and it was always stored indoors throughout its life. The classy looks of this Towncar gave it great curb appeal in its era.

Interior

The plush Burgundy Leather (QD) interior of this Towncar is in outstanding condition. The seats are in excellent shape with no excessive wear, holes, or split seams. The seats are not worn in the typical area where the driver gets in and out. Please note that these appear to be the original seats and skins, not some cheap aftermarket covers or replacements. The gauge faces are crisp and clean and the lenses are clear. The chrome and bright work on the inside of the car looks wonderful. The carpet is in also in great condition with no rips or holes. The power antenna works and goes up and down but the original radio does not fully function properly. Most importantly the dash has never been cut or modified or an aftermarket installation. The dash and console are in great shape with no cracks, fading, or sun damage. All the door panels are in excellent shape overall. This car has never been smoked in; there are no burns marks and no aroma of cigarettes at all. This is one of the best original interiors we have ever seen in person in a classic Lincoln and is a true study of how these cars looked from the factory.

Mechanical

This Lincoln Towncar is in excellent mechanical condition and it is ready to be enjoyed. The 5.0L V-8 starts right away every time, runs well, and idles smooth. The car is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and floats down the highway. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that there are no strange noises or vibrations and the car performs quite well overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. The transmission shifts well throughout the power band. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. Also, the engine compartment is clean, detailed, and correct as one can see in the photos.
The horn works as do all the exterior lights, interior lights, wipers, lighter, power sunroof, power windows, and even the trunk light still works. All of the gauges work along with the power seats. All of the many computer functions work as well. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with the large sunroof open on a nice sunny day.

Overall Condition

Overall, this 1988 Lincoln Towncar Signature Series is in amazing original condition. This car is extra desirable with the extraordinary original condition, great ownership history, low mileage, and the stunning color combination. Originality is extremely important in classic car pricing and as one can see this car is very original and correct.
