This is an outstanding 1962 Lincoln Continental sedan that was owned by one older Southern California woman for about 50 years. This is an exceptional original car that has benefited from a bare metal respray in its original color that has been wet sanded and polished to show standards. Importantly, all the stainless steel was professionally polished making the exterior look almost as new. With only 41,000 original miles, this Continental drives like new. All components necessary to make it a reliable and wonderful driving car have been replaced or restored. The Castilian Gold metallic (Paint Code I) is truly exceptional and is ready for serious concours competition. It is rare that someone invests in a bare metal respray, but this car benefited from this investment. Ensuring that this paint will last for decades. Much of the chrome is original and there are a few areas where you can see wear from decades of polishing. But the exterior is really beautiful. The black leather interior (Trim Code 86) is original and is in excellent condition throughout. With 41,000 miles of use from a petite older woman owner, there are no signs of wear. The steering wheel, pedals, seats, armrests, etc., all appear to be new. Only the normal age creases in the leather are visible. The leather is soft and supple. The ample use of wood is in beautiful condition and accents the black leather perfectly. We had the pleasure of driving the Continental about 20 miles to our showroom. It is a pleasure to drive. The air conditioning, power antenna, radio and instruments all work as they should. If you notice in the photos, the ride height on this Lincoln is just right. Most examples have sagging springs whereas this has just the right ride and height. The venerable 430 CID engine is smooth and quiet and the 300 hp is more than sufficient to provide an exhilarating but luxurious driving experience.
