Description for Lincoln K 1935
With V12 power, exceptional rarity, and pinstripe suit elegance inside and out, 1935 Lincoln K Sedan displays the best of a bygone era.The Great Depression is a hard history lesson, and it also meant that some of the most elegant car designs are also some of the rarest around. Few could afford the opulence of a Lincoln, especially with a sedan body that has limousine-like sensibilities. The result is this is one of likely less than 150 made. And even greater rarity is certain, because so few have survived 85 years later looking so complete. This car has a clean elegance with an intricate grille, smooth lines, and mirror-like chrome bumpers. And it's finished in the same kind of blue that's being used as the hallmark of the new Lincoln Continental. It even has the right premium details, like the dual fender-mounted spare tires, bright luggage rack on the rear, wire wheels with bright whitewalls, and the iconic greyhound hood ornament leading the way.
Suicide doors always look great whenever you open both sets. And people will want a long look at this elegant interior. The gray pinstripe pattern on the seats and doors look like they came from a suit made for Clark Gable. And the vintage elegance is continued on the wood trim with diamond parquet-like pattern. In the rear there's a ton of legroom. Plus, with a handrail, tray table, and full armrest package, it's a treat to be riding in the back. The full package is a terrific vintage presentation, from the fold-out windshield, to the large and grippy petal steering wheel.
That extra-long block with two sides of bright flat heads is the unmistakable look of Lincoln's L-head V12 motor. The 414 cubic-inch motor runs strong, and it delivers a terrific sound unique to these many-cylinder motors. So you really have to hear it. Plus, the long lever action of the three-speed manual transmission gives you nice control and distinctive vintage feeling as you go down the road.
The sale come complete with an owner's manual, mechanical diagrams, and maintenance receipts. This is a rare and sleek Lincoln sedan. So if you understand the full appeal of a pre-war premium machine, call today!
