Description for Lincoln Mark Series 1983
For sale is my 'almost perfect' 1983 Lincoln Mark VI coupe. I indicated 'almost perfect' because there is a small mark on the paint on the passenger side rear panel. Also a small dent in the stainless trim around the wheel well on the front driver side. See photo. Otherwise this car is like new. 1983 was the last year for the Mark series and this is one of the few (I believe less than 40) 'Signature Coupe' produced. If you wished you had purchased one in 1983 this is your chance. The car of course is beautiful. The platinum finish is the perfect color for this car. The car is loaded and has key less entry. I purchased the Shop Repair ManualsVIN 1MRBP98FXDY683752The car ended up in Matt Garrett's collection with about 500 miles on it. You can see the photos on his web site by clicking on the following link.http://www.mcsmk8.com/83-MKVI/83-MARKVI.HTMThe photos show the original tires and wheels that was shipped on the car. Fortunately these were upgraded to the ones shown on my photos. Nice feature.I purchased this car in January 2013 from an individual in Texas. There is a photo of the car being delivered. I drove the car just enough to keep the battery charged. The car still has Texas plates and inspection sticker. I didn't bother to charge the air conditioner and the gas gauge does not indicate properly. The mileage now is 1334. I'm no longer able to drive because of macular degeneration and we will be moving to Maui. So the car has to go.PAYMENT: With a Bank Official Check and wait for clearing before taking possession. Or done by wiretransfer with my bank.Added May 8th:Someone asked about the title. The title is clear no liens. We have a PA plate that we didn't put on car. Someone asked about the radio it works as the power antenna. Odometer works but I never used the electronic buttons to set the clock or check gas mileage ect. I wasn't able to drive when I purchased the car so it was never going to be a drive car. I had a white Mark VI many years ago and always regretted selling it.
