Description for Lotus Super Seven 1990
THE CAR
Not a Lotus 7 but a low mileage (20,000kms / 12,000 miles) Westfield SE with Ford Zetec twin-cam engine. For anyone unfamiliar a Westfield is a two-seater sports car built along the lines of the famous Lotus 7 originated by Colin Chapman.
It consists of a space-frame chassis made of tubular steel with aluminum panels and covered in a light-weight glassfiber body. Its high power to weight ratio results in a very exiting drive which, when properly set up, will embarrass many more expensive sports cars, especially on the track and twisty roads.
This is a European model (hence no VIN in this listing - eBay does not recognize non-imported VINs) and so is left hand drive from original. Although it is over 25 years old and therefore exempt from EPA and DOT regulations, it may require some modification to conform with local regulations.
Registered and currently securely stored in Holland, the car will come with clear title and other papers and be prepared for either Ro/Ro (roll on / roll off) or container shipping as per buyer's preference.
Below is a basic quote for shipping to east coast ports (though we can ship anywhere) from Amsterdam and includes receipt at the port of departure warehouse, preparation of export condition report, export Customs clearance, THC Terminal Handling Charges), AES (Automated Export System) Filin, BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor - for fluctuations in oil prices), WARFAGE (charges by the terminal at the port of departure for moving the goods around).

PURCHASE PROCESS – The transaction is spread over three payments:
Initial deposit - Once a final selling price is agreed (either by using Buy It Now, having your Best Offer accepted or winning an auction) we require immediate payment of a small deposit. This covers us for ending the listing, preparing the item for shipping and logistics for delivering it to the port of departure. The deposit is refundable should we be unable to deliver the item for shipping within its allotted schedule. You will receive an invoice detailing all charges, including our terms & conditions of business.
Shipping deposit – Payment of all shipping fees falls due at the point of booking (it is advised to do this without delay in order to secure space on the preferred ship).
Final payment – the balance becomes payable 3 working days prior to the date the item is required at the port of departure, as dictated by the shipping company. This can be paid any time up to the deadline and, if preferred by the client, can be held in escrow (related fees shared equally between Docteur Moteur and buyer), to be released to Docteur Moteur upon loading of your item for shipment).
ABOUT US - Docteur Moteur is an Anglo-French business started in 2011 exporting light commercial vehicles and spares to France and other EMEA countries. While we export a lot from UK, we also export from France and are based in London, UK and Montpellier, in S. France - a great place to find rare, unusual or just sought-after vehicles. We are constantly on the lookout and when we find something interesting we pair it up with a buyer; acting as broker by securing the vehicle and managing its transportation to them.
