Description for Maserati Spyder 1986

I bought this beautiful Biturbo Spyder on eBay in June 2015. It's originally a US car that was imported to BC some time ago, so importing it back to the US would be no problem; it is over 25 years old, and therefore DOT and EPA-exempt anyway.
When I picked up the car, I saw that it had a really nice interior, great-sounding exhaust system, a new top and absolutely no rust. However, upon driving it back home and having my mechanic look at it, it became clear that the previous owner hadseriously misrepresented its mechanical state. It was a bucketlist car for me which I saw great potential in and wanted to preserve, so I spent a significant amount of money (over $16,000) on mechanical and cosmetic repairs and improvements. Sadly, I havelostone of my parking stallsand have one too many fair-weather cars, so it's time to pass the torch on to another enthusiast.
The following is a list of what has been done to the car in the past 16 months:
1. Replaced steering rack and various other steering components2. Replaced radiator3. Replaced thermostat4. New battery5. Replaced all gaskets6. Replaced carburetor 7. New brakes 8. New throttle cable9. New hood release10. Four new BFGoodrich tires11. Refinished and painted all wheels 12. Painted mirrors13. New HVAC controls14. Installed rear valance, which conceals the mufflers and spare tire holder for a much more finished look (very rare)15. New dash clock (next to impossible to find)16. Clarion deck with USB/Aux input (the speakers are factory items and I have the factory tape player, but it is missing a couple of knobs)17. Professional cut and polish and dent removal (paint was somewhattired and there were any dents present when I bought the car)
The car runs and looksgreat, is lots of fun to drive and draws looks and compliments everywhere. I have the receipts for all of the work/parts listed above, and am sure that have left some items out. My mechanic is Milo European Car Specialists in Vancouver, who was a Maserati dealer back in the 80s and is an expert on these cars.
The leather and Alcantara interior is in very good condition, including the dash which is in remarkably great shape. If I were to keep the car, I would re-dye the seats to take the interior to the next level. However, they are perfectly serviceable as-is. I have listed the minor defects in the "condition description" of the ad. I believe the next owner will be very happy with this car. Niceones arebecoming increasingly difficult to find, as most have sunbaked and damaged interiors and have been neglected mechanically.
I would be glad to assist with shipping once you have arranged it on your end. Please do your research regarding shipping andtheimport proceduresbefore you bid. I have bought from and sold cars to US residents quite a few times and the process is very painless and straightforward for 25+ year-old vehicles. I do have a copy of the Florida title that was submitted to US Customs when the car left the US. Please ask any questions that youmight have and I will do my best to answer them as quickly as possible.
