1988 Mazda RX7 Convertible Great Cond New Leather New Paint Rotary Engine Drift

Recently acquired this gem from a former work friend. Drive it home from Poughkeepsie, Y 12603.

The Good
- Recent paint job, ooks great, ar was garaged for the past 15 years.
- NO DENTS, O SCRATCHES!
- Recent new vinyl top, ooks good despite 4 small flaws, o leaks
- Recent front seat re-upholstery with black leather - looks excellent, o tears
- Black interior floor carpet replaced,looks great
- Engine was rebuilt by a rotary mechanic sometime around 100k miles (148k now)
- Excellent running engine - starts right up, dles good, o smoking or leaking seen
- Brand new battery 3-2015
- Perfect maintenance - oil change sticker still has miles to go until it is due
- Front tires have 75% tread life left
- Convertible Well cover included!!!
- Great fitting car cover included
- Door panels and dash in very good condition, ot wrecked like many convertibles
- "Fuel pump cutoff switch installed in case the engine floods - used very rarely"
- All windows perfect, o detaching trim
- Does not overheat - was driven 1.5 hours to get here no issues.
- Clutch seems good - was probably replaced when the engine was rebuilt
- Owners manual, indow sticker and original bill of sale included
- Glass rear window with defroster
- Aero side mirrors
- Original BBS wheels
- Pop-up lights work great
- Aluminum lightweight hood
- Cruise Control
The Bad
- Brakes need to be bled but pump up and work fine
- Minor Exhaust leak near shifter hole, ftermarket exhaust looks new, ould be a gasket
- Shifter lower sealing boot missing (loud, eat comes thru)
- A bit of a rough idle? I don't know rotary engines but the car does not shake just the exhaust burbles and skips a bit at idle
- Window fuse pulled, ne window is slow to go up (they go down with the top I think)
- Cheap ebay steering wheel (horns don't work at all, urn signal only cancels on one side)
- Center vent trim cracked - needs replacing
- Radio bezel / trim cracked - needs replacing
- Glove box door has an impact tear/hole - needs replacing
- Aftermarket Radio trim spacers not used - gap to sides of SONY CD radio (original CD/Tape/Radio included, ot known if working)
- Drivers side rear wheel has a stuck alignment adjustment eccentric bolt - needs to be freed / replaced and re-aligned (not real noticable when driving but will cause tire wear)
- No front license plate mount - plate was tie-wrapped to bumper and chipped paint a bit, own low can't really see it
- Drivers side door handle has a tiny paint chip
- Top replaced, inyl. See pics for 2 splits and 2 rough spots. Not leaking.
- Fuel door needs manual help when opening
- Trunk release level not working (use key)
- Trunk prop rods weak - need replacing
- AC all there but not sure if working or not
- Rear tires only have 25% tread life left
- One rusty Wiper Arm
- Front Flash-To-Pass lenses replaced with tinted eBay plexiglass, ooks ok
- Taillight black plastic is faded, ormal but detracts from the great paint
- OEM floor mats gone
- Dome light not working (could be bulb)
