Description for Mazda MX-5 Miata 1990
Original, adult-owned first year Miata has been well cared for, has had no accidents; all VIN numbers match to my knowledge. This Miata runs, stops, corners, and drives very well. Fuel economy has been good, 27-30 mpg most of the time, and no performance or other modifications have been made. The car includes a cover, and I have a set of never-used winter tires -- the car has never been driven in snow -- that I am selling separately if interested. I am a non-smoker. The car has a clear title, no loans or flood/salvage issues. No rust issues that I'm aware of (pictures of the underside of the car are available if you're curious). The steering has good feel, remains tight, and the engine revs smoothly. I have not raced or auto-crossed the car. The clutch is not slipping, and the 5-speed manual transmission has the nice short throw you would expect from a small sports car.I purchased from the original owners a couple of years ago, andI have stored the car covered in a carport. Previously it was stored in a heated garage, so that has helped to maintain the good condition. The mileage is also very low for the year despite getting out for drives in the city and out into the country regularly. The soft top is original but has still been performing well other than some haze in the rear window.
The car is available to check out locally, and I'd be open to bringing it up to Portland for someone with a serious interest.
