Description for Mazda Other 1969
1969/70 Mazda R100 Rotary Coupe.Unrestored condition. This car had been sitting in a storage unit since 1981 as part of a collection.51,542 original kms.I have rebuilt al the brakes with NOS parts. I also fitted new points, plugs, caps and leads for the ignition system. Now starts and drives great. I haven't driven it far due to its 35 year old tyres but it drives straight and the motor never misses a beat.I had intended to restore and keep the car myself as I have been trying to find one for most of my adult life, however a change in circumstances means that I no longer have the time to do it and I don't want to see the car sit in storage for another 35 years. Its a piece of rotary history and it should be out being enjoyed. The car has no major rust but has a reasonable amount of surface corrosion underneath and on the sills. It requires a full body restoration to bring it up to the standard it deserves. The front seats were replaced at some point with some from another Mazda. Other than that the car is in very complete and unmodified condition. Please note that the car was delivered new in Switzerland. It has no smog equipment from new, no aircon and is left hand drive. Milage and Speedo are in KM not Miles.
I am happy to help arrange international shipping at the buyers expense. Im also happy to provide any further info, photos, videos etc that you may require.
The price of these cars is only going up and to find one this original/complete is exceeding rare.
The car will go to the highest offer but I would prefer it to go to some one who will restore and keep it original.
