No Reserve!! 1990 Mazda MiataThink Spring!Runs and Drives Great! Very Reliable!1. 6L Engine. Manual TransmissionGreat MPG: 21 city / 26 HighwayTonneau Cover and Cockpit Cover includedHistoric – cheap registration and insurance! Please read the description fully and ensure that you can meet the obligations of this auction before bidding. As is stated above. this is a NO RESERVE auction for a 1990 Mazda Miata. These are great little cars that have a great reputation. They are fun to drive. handle well. are reliable. cheap to run and cheap to maintain. Not many cars will give you more smiles per mile than a Miata. Owning one gives you all the perks of owning a british sportscar. minus the overheating. dodgy electrics. and cost of parts. Every person that drives one loves them. They are not only fun little cars for the average person. but they are proven in competition. being a favorite for autocross. and having their own SpecMiata SCCA series. On top of that. they get great gas mileage! I have been using this car as a commuter and weekend car for the past 2 weeks. It is mechanically sound. and very reliable. and has not given me any trouble. I have a daily commute of about 20 miles that is ¾ highway. but have done some of country driving in the car as well. There’s nothing like driving a Miata on some winding. country roads. I just wish it was still warm enough to put the top down. This car has high mileage but it runs great. The 1. 6 liter engine does not feel tired compared to other 6 Miatas I have had in the past few years. It revs easily. pulls hard. runs well. has good oil pressure and does not overheat. The oil looks clean (was last changed on 11/2014). and it does not smoke or have blow-by. The clutch feels strong. The manual transmission shifts through all of its gears normally without any grinding or difficulty going into gear. The suspension on this car feels good. and the handling is great. The brakes are also strong. There is no power steering. I’m not sure if the car didn’t come with it. or if the previous owner removed it (as many Miata owners do). but it is such a small and light car that you don’t much notice the difference. and it seems to improve the feedback you get through the steering wheel while driving. The interior of this car appears about average for the age and mileage. The black seats have some fading. but the carpets are not faded or torn at all. There are also no cracks on the dash or center console. The seats are supportive and in good shape. though the driver’s seat has the characteristic tear on the left lumbar support. An aftermarket Kenwood stereo / CD player has been installed. and works well. The heater will roast you. The car has A/C. but the belt to the compressor has been removed. The wipers work. and there is a rear defroster. All of the dash gauges work. and there are no warning lights on. This car has a driver’s airbag. It also has manual windows and mirrors. so that saves some weight if you’re looking for an autocross car. The exterior of the car is in slightly below average condition for the age and mileage. and could use a little TLC. The red paint is mostly good. though a little faded. and there are dings and scratches here and there as expected for a car of this age. The bumpers are faded. and there is a crack in the plastic beneath the license plate. There is some rust in the typical places. Surface rust is present on the passenger’s side rocker panel and near the rear wheel well. On the driver’s side there is some rust along the rocker panel. and a rust hole near the front wheel well. I do not see any rust underneath. looks like it is just body rust. There is some mild damage on the passenger’s side front fender. This could be fixed pretty easily. or just get another fender from a junkyard. Red seems to be the color of choice for Miatas. so it shouldn’t be hard to find a red fender. The tires have decent tread depth. and are mounted on standard steel rims. This would make a great summer car for someone. or a racecar. It is absolutely wonderful to drive. I would say that this car is in overall average condition for the age and mileage. The body needs some work. but the rest is in decent shape. This car is not in showroom condition. it has some faults. and I have described all of those faults that I have found. but it is a nice. reliable car.
