Description for Mazda RX-7 1988

1988 Mazda RX-7 Convertible. Own previous owner. 1.3L R2. 97,495 miles. Blk. ext. with grey cloth int. The engine runs perfectly and drives as new. That is not an exaggerate. Always serviced. New wires, plug's, fluids and Cold air intake (I have the stock unit) Body has zero rust. Power top is in great shape, there is one small 2" tear it does not leak at all. The tonneau cover and interior are in great shape, No tears, the drivers and pass. seats, carpet, rubber and dash are all in excellent original condition. This car has really been well taken care of. The original paint, being black does show some imperfections when you get close but she shines nicely.. Some negative aspects are that there is a small drivers side door ding. The A/C works, compressor kick's on but need's a charge to be cold. The stock pioneer stereo, speakers and antenna really need to be replaced. Customize it your way. The stock BBS rims are in excellent shape. The tires are new but older they have very few miles on them and have full thread left. New brakes. I would consider this one of the nicest, best running, Original RXs' out their, for the price, being 30 years old she's still a beauty. I have had several RX-7's. One thing people don't know is that after 1989 Mazda made a really stupid decision. The rotary engine requires oil that is injected for lubrication of the apex seals. Before 1989 this was controlled manually. As in my car. After 1989 they had the injection controlled by the computer and this method did not inject enough oil, thereby wearing the apex seals out prematurely. This gave Rotary motors a bad rap. A third injector was finally added in the 2009 RX8. Please call me for an honest description. Pete at 386-864-1861. I do not need help selling this car.
