Description for Mazda RX-7 1993

1993 Mazda RX-7 FD for Chevy LS conversion

This 1993 Mazda RX-7 FD3 Twin Turbo and a 2005 Chevy Avalanche (wrecked) (Donor for LS based conversion).
I never drove the car in the winter. This car was so fun to drive; and hugged the road like a magnet. Last Spring, after sitting for the Winter, the car would not start. It would turn over and try to start but would not tart. I’m not sure what the problem was and I don’t have time to do the conversion. The plan was to remove the rotary motor and put in a 3rd Gen Chevy LS based motor. This would have made the car very reliable and closely maintain the engine/ body weight ration. The Avalanche engine produces close to 300hp without being chipped. The compression ration also allows for the adoption of a smell twin turbos set, that is if you want to get over 500hp with little effort.
Keep in mind that the Avalanche curb weight is 7000 lbs. and the Mazda FD3 is about 2800 lbs. I can tell you that my Avalanche would go.
Why do it? While the Wankel feels good when the turbos kick in, the LS has the power right there; right now; all the time. And if you want the turbo rush, you can put some on but you better hold on.
