* 1991 MAZDA Rx-7 Convertible * Before you and up for bid is my immaculate. all original. and nicest in America 1991 MAZDA Rx-7 Convertible. The particulars of the Mazda are as follows: A brief model history: Available in the third year of the second generation "FC" Rx-7's. Mazda introduced a unique convertible design. What distinguished this car from other convertibles of the day was that this convertible featured a removable rigid center section which provided for motoring in a "targa top" configuration. The rear section was power operated upon releasing two latches while the rigid section folded manually for the full "top down" convertible experience. Mazda also introduced the first integral windblocker (see pic) which folded up from behind the seats to block unwanted drafts from reaching the cabin area. Manufactured from 1988-1991. there were in fact a handful of leftover 1991 models that were titled as 1992 models. These are very rare and account for the only Rx-7 model offered for sale in the states in 1992. The last 1992 I saw was over 11 years ago. * A two owner car since new. the first was the Mazda dealer principal in S. D. The car remained with his family until 2005. Present ownership since April of that year. * Climate indoor storage. a pampered non-smoker. NO pets. * CARFAX certified NO ACCIDENT history and ownership. in hand. * Almost exclusively driven on summer & fall evenings. It has never been exposed to inclement weather or winter corrosives. (salt. mag chloride) Seldom caught in the rain. the majority of water that the car has seen is attributed to hand bucket washes. * Guaranteed to be RUST FREE! * Immaculate and in near mint condition throughout. It's not that the Rx-7 is clean. it simply has never been dirty. * Collector quality condition. now at 25 model years of age. these Rx-7's are without question. nbsp;destined to be present & future collectibles. * Rx-7 convertibles were offered essentially one way. for 1991. the option was an automatic transmission. * 99. 9% original paint. not 100% in that the left corner of the rear bumper was touched up from a slight scuff. The overall finish is beautiful. the car was just hand compounded and polished. (not waxed). The reflection and paint depth is amazing. (see pics) The photograph of the trunk lid is indicative of and best illustrates the paint reflection on the entire car.
