Description for Mazda RX-7 1988

I've been the owner of this car for about a year; I bought it to drive and enjoy while I worked on my other RX-7 but it had weak spark and would breakup under boost. It was frustrating and because of it I didn’t get ANY work done on my other RX-7 and spent my free time getting this car to kick ass. The work that I did: · Re-wired the ECU. Injectors. Coils. Lighting. Gauges. Fuel Pump. and Lighting· Checked all connections in the engine harness. re-loomed and ran in a neater fashion· Upgraded the fuel system; replaced injector grommets/o-rings. new fuel rails and fuel lines. moved FPR· Interior upgrades listed below· Changed headlight mounting position in bumper· Had the car retuned When I got it the dyno sheet said it made 397whp @18 PSI with meth. I'm sure it did a few times but drivability was very poor. Spark was so weak that it would foul the plugs under boost and after talking to the tuner he told me it was frustrating to tune and he suggested to the PO to fix the spark but he elected not to. After performing my repairs I took it to get retuned in Dec. 2014. I had a goal for over 400WHP with meth but was not able to get there because the meth controller failed on the dyno at idle. It was tuned 15 PSI with no meth and made substantial gains in HP and TQ throughout the powerband. They can be seen by comparing the new and old dyno sheets. It's now a truly solid turnkey car making 350WHP. it starts hot and cold with no issues and will beat most cars you come across while cruising. If I was able to keep it I would love to; I just bought an FD and made a deal with my wife that I would sell both FC's by 2016 because of it and the 'vert is the first to go. Exterior: The car currently has the front bumper. front fenders. hood. headlights and foglights installed. The Side skirts. rear over fenders and rear bumper need to be painted and installed; I have S5 door trim to give the doors a more updated look as well. All the Tamon Designs parts are authentic from Japan and have the proper markings. · New Haartz Stayfast Blue Canvas convertible top w/ attached rain gaurds and interior with new convertible motors. New targa storage bag and original blue convertible boot included. · FC2000 Front Bumper – Rotary Extreme w/ Hella HID high/low beams and foglights · Tamon Designs FRP GT Hood w/ Aerocatch latches and rain guard inserts · Tamon Designs widebody fenders (25MM in front. 30MM in rear) (front installed. rear not installed) · Tamon Designs rear bumper (Not Installed) · Shine Auto Spec RE Kevlar side skirts (Not Installed) Authentic RE Amemiya Rear Diffuser (Not Installed) · S5 Door Moldings(Not Installed) Mustang Cobra wheels Interior: The car interior is in great shape. everything works. power window switches. HVAC controls etc. It has had aesthetic upgrades and some functional ones with the gauges. · Custom bezel underneath the radio housing Fuel and Oil Pressure gauges as well as an on/off switch and low level indicator for the AI system. · A-pillar dual gauge pod with Water Temp and Boost gauges · All gauges are black Defi D-Series · Blitz SBC I-color boost controller with oil temp and wideband sensors wired in · Innovate LM-1 wideband( I keep it disconnected because it's bulky and the boost controller display is just as accurate) · New blue carpet · Seats have been redone in a custom blue leather scheme and have seat heaters. · Matching Redline Goods Shift Boot. E-brake Boot. and Armrest cover. Black leather with a centered white stripe (They are VERY nice!) · I also have some uninstalled black panels for behind the seats and a set of black door panels that need some TLC to include. · No trunk carpet Drivetrain/Suspension: · Full S5 T2 drivetrain swap. lightweight flywheel with ACT HDSS clutch · Tokico Illumina Struts With RB Springs · RB Sway bars with RB adjustable end links · Remanufactured calipers painted blue at all corners · Powerslot rotors at all corners · Hawk Blue pads at all corners · SS brake lines at all corners · Battery relocated to behind passenger's seat(Optima Yellowtop-It's old but works fine if the car doesn't sit for days). Sounds like a Walboro(Never looked to find out what it was) · GT35R Turbo with a T3 manifold and hotside. The kit is a modified FD kit. · TiAL Wastegate- not sure on the size. looks like a 60MM. WG is routed and not open dump. · 3" downpipe with EGT Bung into a hollowed cat then a racing beat catback. The car is reasonably quiet. · Fresh spark plugs when tuned. All NGK 9's. · Synapse Synchronic BOV · Greddy FMIC. all silicone coupling have t-bolts. · Has an AI kit installed but the controller is bad (Older Vari-Cool controller). the pump works and it has a new Snow performance solenoid. I have 3 cases of Boost Juice to go with the car. · Microtech LTX-8 with Bosch Coils. Handset. and Laptop Dongle. · A/C is removed · Working power steering I got this car running solid and I feel like I've done it justice; it is an excellent car with very nice parts. The body parts themselves are very rare in the US and are expensive to get over here. The next owner can finish the bodywork and have a beautiful cruiser with the power to back up the look or part it out and keep what they want for their own project. The existing factory paint is in pretty gobod shape so if you're not picky about perfect matching paint you could just spray the panels and install them. The car requires premium gas and 2 cycle oil mixed with it. The Ratio for the mix is 1. 5Oz:1Gallon. The car does have a couple of small issues:Small Exhaust leak. it sounds like it's from the DP flangeBattery is weak- if left connected for multiple days with no driving it will dieThe rear tires leak down after a few days. new owner will probably roast them quicklyClutch loses pressure after the car has been sitting. it pumps up quick and will hold pressure fine. will not lose pressure if car is driven frequentlyAs seen in the pics the passenger side S4 exterior door trim is goneTHE CAR DOES NOT COME WITH THE JRX WHALETAIL SEEN IN THE BODY PART PICTURES. FOR TRANSPORTATION AND SHIPPING PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ALLOW EXTRA SPACE FOR THE UNINSTALLED PARTS-THEY WILL NOT FIT IN THE CAR.
