The current owner operates a specialty European restoration facility in Colorado (Classic Investments) and this coupe is his regular weekend driver and has been well cared for over his ownership of 6 years. Previously, his 220 was part of a large Mercedes Benz collection, wned by another local (a German national) who ran an independent service shop for German cars. During his ownership the dash wood, rim and all chrome was restored and most seals around the car were replaced. The beautiful two-tone paint is in excellent condition with only minor cosmetic blemishes from years of service. The remarkable original interior is a highlight, s well. With optional bucket seats up front and rare optioned buckets in the rear. While cracking is evident, he factory materials have overall held up well during the course of this car's life and are still useable for regular drives and events where the longevity of Mercedes Benz craftsmanship can be rewarded with recognition. The carpet and headliner are also original and in excellent shape for factory materials. This regularly maintained car has an extremely clean and straight body and all the major panels show no evidence of rust. These photos speak for themselves and, f course, e encourage your inquiry. The W111 chassis from Mercedes Benz was a revolutionary vehicle in many ways. These are the LAST of the Mercedes Hand-Built cars and have become highly desirable for many of their groundbreaking and timelessly beautiful attributes. With such features as the first-ever front and rear "crumple zones," 3-point seat-belts and a very well refined and softened interior, hese vehicles were designed around passenger safety first, hile retaining the legacy of Mercedes performance, omfort and style.Classic Investments of Colorado specialises in the sale, ervice and complete in-house restoration of vintage European sports cars and many others.
