THE OVERVIEWOffered for an appreciating new owner is this rare classic 1976 Mercedes Benz 350SEL sedan at NO RESERVE!Finished in silver over black interior. this is a running and driving classic early 116-chassis Benz sedan being sold here with clear and clean California title and 9/13 registration and the original California sunshine license plate. The non-working odometer shows 92. 90 miles but the actual mileage is unknown. The car has working electric windows. factory alloy wheels with good rubber. original Euro chrome bumpers. NO sunroof. non-working radio. working lights. blinkers and horn. While nowhere near concourse condition. it is a solid running and driving car. a great parts car/donor or a project to restore back to its original luster. THE BODY AND TRIMAs I hope is articulated in the many photos here. the exterior of this 1976 Mercedes is in "fair" only condition overall. The silver paint [used to be navy blue] is almost like a primer grey with little to no shine. various nicks. worn areas and touched up sections with a bit of corrosion forming. All glass is intact but the moulding at the base of the rear window needs reattaching. THE INTERIORThe interior of this 1976 Benz is also in fair original condition throughout! It sports newly redone front seat upholstery and working gauges and windows. Imperfections include but not limited to tattered wood sections. dirty carpet. slightly sagging headliner. gas pedal unattached. a couple of the interior trim pieces missing. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCEThis classic Benz start right up [new battery]. runs ok but not great [not getting full gas pedal travel?]. shifts up and down smoothly. The brake pedal is stiff with light illuminated. the suspension is fairly solid going down the highway at 60 miles per hour. This car has good potential in the hands of the right new owner.
