Description for Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 1966
1966 Mercedes 220SE in fantastic condition. This is the elegant two door hardtop coupe in white with a fabulous brown interior. Beautifully appointed - a work of the designer Paul Bracq . Older restoration with extensive receipts. Car purchased from the original family, o I am effectively the second owner. Originally from Richmond, A - the car made a journey with the original owners to California and back to Florida. Restoration largely completed in the 1990's at considerable expense. Over $25,000 worth of receipts are with the car from that period, ith additional receipts since that time for routine services and repairs. The car runs and drive excellent. We have used it as a weekend car and occasional daily driver. Garaged and well kept. The car only has a few minor issues, ll documented at the shared Google drive folder noted below. Rust is minimal, nd photographed. No floor pan or body panel rust. Interior by GAHH. Brakes redone by White Post at all four wheels including sleeved calipers and cylinders. Only selling the car due to a pending work relocation. I will be posting additional interior photos this week to the shared drive. You will enjoy this car. Ask lots of questions. >Mercedes PicsOn Aug-25-15 at 12:29:39 PDT, eller added the following information:Just added a significant amount of interior pics as well as pictures of the manuals and receipts that come with the car. All on the original link noted above. The interior as you will see is in excellent shape with only a couple of notable issues. The dash wood has cracking and would need refinishing to be perfect. The drivers seat upholstery has loosened from the seat frame on the rear of the seat - an easy fix and the material is neither torn nor damaged, ust pulled away from the stretch fit frame bar inside. This condition is not noticeable unless the seat is folded forward or unless you are sitting in the back seat. The car was equipped with the Kuhlmeister A/C system which is unfortunately not functional. All parts are there however with exception of the compressor mount on the engine which was apparently removed during the restoration and misplaced. The compressor comes with the car but is separate. The car has a Retrosound stereo installed with an auxiliary input for a phone or music device. This unit was installed without modification to the car, nd the speakers are Polk Audio automotive cabinet mounts placed under the seats. Again, o modifications to the car. The original non-op Becker comes with the car but is separate.
