Short answer: No, nd our apologies for not mentioning the rust free quality of this automobile in the listing.
The front license tag bracket is a thin stamped steel plate with a single coating of paint. It rusts because once the license plate is fastened with screws and the plate rubs against the bracket, here is now bare metal exposed to the elements. You can see the surface rust accumulates where the water was trapped between the bracket and the license plate. You will find this on all but the newest Mercedes automobiles.
On the other hand, uring the factory assembly, he body of the car is dipped numerous times, as specialized body undercoatings applied. The sheet metal is then painted with rust preventive primers, /font>sprayed with multiple coats of paint and then baked on. You will rarely see any Mercedes-Benz product of this era with any rust problems and certainly not this one.
