Beautiful and Rare Mercedes-Benz 500SL R107 Euro Roadster. The vehicle originally lived in Texas and was purchased by it's current owner in 2000 out of Asheville, C. These wereexpensive, igh end vehicles with power and performance tuned to handle the Autobahn. A total of 1,297 were built in 1982 and several found theirway to American soil and are distinctive when seen driving down our highways. These vehicles have passed their 25th birthday making them eligible for the Antique Automobile Club of America. The primary focus is still on touring as they make great road cars, ut a few have been professionally restored and compete in show fields.
This vehicle has beenmeticulouslymaintained by the localdealershipand is a great example of an untouched classic Mercedes. The current owners have rebuilt the brakes, uel injection system, eplaced pulley, harged the AC system, nd have left most of the car original as it came from the factory. The interior seats were recovered about 10 years ago and look beautiful. The dash does have minor age cracks as usual with these vehicles, he weatherstrips do show some age, here is some "curb rash" on the rims, nd the side trim of the right side wheel well trim has some bleed through. Over the years the owners have touched up any rock chips in theoriginalpaint in order to keep the car original. Vehicle does include both the hard and soft tops.
