This No Reserve auction is for a 1972 Mercedes 280 SE. The sole owner is a respected attorney from Wilmington, orth Carolina, ho recently retired and donated his baby to his charity of choice. His son was at the sale and relayed many interesting and helpful details (and delightful stories) about the Mercedes, o us. The car has been garage-kept and believes it is the original paint, iles (82,950) and drive train. He provided us with many receipts, he original owner's manual and 2 sets of keys. His father's only request was to find it a good home. Exterior- Upon close inspection the body has several areas that will need attention: top left fender, ottom right fender and a small spot behind the left rear tire. We have not washed or waxed the vehicle, ttempting to show you the true integrity of the paint. In my opinion, would not paint this car, ut simply touch up these spots and blend paint. It is that nice! The glass and chrome are in great shape. It needs a Mercedes hood badge. Also, his is the rare, actory 2-tone paint, ith the black top.
Interior- There are no rips or tears in the seats! The door panels and dash are exceptional, s you can see in the pictures. The wood trim at the front of the dash and above the doors can either be removed or will need to be refurbished. The carpet is in great condition, ut is missing the panel behind the passenger seat. All 4 power windows function properly. It needs a radio. The air conditioning comes on but is not cold. Drive Train- We drove this car 120 miles without incident. The 4.5 liter motor runs smoothly and the automatic transmission shifts properly. We have done our best to accurately represent this fine 43 year old car. The car is sold as is so if you have additional questions, r would like us to take specific pictures we will be happy to assist, o the best of our ability. Please take the time to take a look at our 5000+ positive feedback! This is a No Reserve, -Day auction. We are located 30 miles south of Fayetteville, orth Carolina, nd will be happy to meet with your shipper. We require $1000 deposit within 48 hours of auction-end, nd the balance within 7 days. |
