Following the success of the W126 4-door sedan, ercedes-Benz unveiled the C126 Coupe at the German International Auto Show in 1981 to add to the S-Class line. The new 2 door was called the SEC and was met with huge success. For the US there were two engine options, he 3.8 liter V8 or the rarer 5.0 liter V8 engine known as the 500SEC. These ultra- luxurious Coupes were one of the most advanced cars on the road and was also one of the most expensive cars on the market at the time. At the time the SEC was in production, he 126 line was given the award for the safest car in the world and Mercedes also took home J.D Powers and Associates highest customer satisfaction award. The SEC offers a stunning pillarless look design and Teutonic quality rarely found on cars from that era.

European Motor Studio is proud to offer this exceptional all original 1985 Mercedes-Benz 500SEC Coupe finished in Classic White over Palomino leather interior. This SEC left the Mercedes-Benz production line in October of 1984 and was invoiced to Mercedes-Benz North America where it was then shipped to Norman Scott. INC. The car then sold new to its first owner on November 21, 984 in Houston Texas in the amount of $60,805. The car stayed with the first owner until 2009 when the car was moved to Oklahoma City, here Mercedes-Benz of Oklahoma took care of all the cars servicing until moving to Santa Fe with the second owner where it has been since. The car is finished in its original Classic White paint and showing almost no signs of age. The paint finish is beautiful, ith only a few small stone chips in the front nose and some small dime size discoloration areas on the right hand side of grey portion of the lower bumper. There are no signs of any paint work anywhere on this car. The interior is absolutely stunning, side from the driver bolster where some very light wear is visible; the rest of the interior is exceptional. All of the carpets are unmarked and all of the wood is in excellent condition free from any cracks or discoloration. There are no cracks anywhere on the dashboard or any shrinkage of any kind. All of the switchgear is in outstanding condition showing almost no age. The engine starts right up and runs beautifully. The car does not smoke under start up or acceleration and the engine pulls strong through all of its gears. The gearbox is nice and smooth and free from any issues. The steering and suspension have an excellent feel and free from any noises or known issues. The brakes have an excellent positive feel and free from any grinding. The tires have about 80% tread life left and the brakes have at least 50% life left. All of the electronics appear to be operating as designed. The power windows, oor locks, ower seats, ower headrests, irrors, unroof, ntenna, eat belt arms and cruise control are all functioning as designed. The AC blows cold and heater is blowing hot. All of the lights are functioning as they should including the trunk light door buzzer. The original Becker radio is still functioning as well the as seat belt arms when the doors close. This is an exceptional, ll original 500SEC Mercedes and rare to find in 500 form. There is no rust anywhere to be found on this car and absolutely no signs of accident damage or body damage anywhere. The undercarriage is clean and damage and rust free. The car comes with its original tool roll, pare tire on its original tire with the original hang tag, he original jack, ll of the original books in their pouch and a Mercedes Huff key along with a clean Carfax and numerous maintenance receipts.
