Here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own this 1978 Mercedes 300 D. This New Mexico car was owned by one family since new and it shows. The car has only 54188 Original miles. The Pastel blue paint is in Excellent condition and shines like new. No dents or scratches or blemishes. The navy blue interior is Pristine. The car had sheep skins on the seats since day one and Only were removed a month ago. The seats are like brand new showing zero wear. The carpets are dark blue and have no fading . The door panels are perfect and not shriveled at all. The headliner is in excellent condition. The wood is perfect with no cracks in it at all. The dash is also in excellent condition and crack free. The car has the original Becker Europa AM/FM cassette and It works perfect as well does the power antenna. Inside the car you will find all the electronics to work properly. Windows . sunroof and even the cruise. The climate control switches from heat to Ice cold Ac which is still the Original R 12 Rare. I bought the car and was truly amazed as I owned many of these cars in the past. Not many with these low miles. The car was stored in a climate controlled garage and was part of their collection. I wanted to make it the best of the best so I went through the car from front to back. Here is what I did. 4 brand new tires. brakes are excellent and have plenty of life. New engine mounts . stabilizer mount and Transmission mount. Inside the engine you will find it to be highly detailed. My dad and I Polished the valve cover. oil filler cover and painted all the lines to their original color. The valves were adjusted . New valve cover gasket. New air filter . Fresh oil change using Shell Rotella 15/40 . All new fuel filters . The engine is bone dry no leaks whatsoever. I drove this car back from Wisconsin where I had it shipped and serviced the car. The trip to Fl was 1700 miles and It was an amazing drive back. The car started in 6 Degrees and gave me zero problems . The Engine starts right up and idles like a watch. The transmission shifts so smooth and most of all the car has Monster power. You would think its a Turbo but its not. These cars are very Rare. With low miles and in its condition makes it very collectable. I have to ask if you could walk into a Mercedes showroom today and buy a 300 D knowing it was one of the best cars Mercedes ever made and it has a engine that will last over a million miles would you buy it?
