This listing is for a brown 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Convertible with various upgrades. The vehicle was well maintained by the current owner (purchased used from Modena Motorcars in Los Angeles, A in 2000), nd had only one previous owner who logged the original 57,365 miles (current mileage is 58,316). All the books, eys, ools and original spare tire are included. The car is equipped with factory A/C and manual transmission, nd the original hard and soft tops. The vehicle has had few alterations prior to the current owner, ith the primary change being the original exterior paint color having been repainted Mercedes-Benz brown from its original red color. The seats were reupholstered to the current tan colored leather by the first owner, hile the interior carpeting remained unchanged. The current owner upgraded the steering wheel to a custom signed Nardi wood-trimmed steering wheel, nd the wheel rims were upgraded from the original rims that included hub caps. The vehicle's exterior is in overall good condition, ith minor blemishes/paint-scratches on the front left quarter-panel, river's side door, he rear trunk, assenger's side door, nd front right quarter-panel. The hard top does not have any minor paint scratches, ut has minor signs of aging on the chrome, nd mild staining on the interior ceiling surface. The soft top is intact with a small worn area on the lower back left corner, ith minor staining on the interior. The overall interior of the car shows very minor signs of wear as well, ut does not include any tears, taining, r overt blemishes. The factory radio functions properly, nd all 4 upgraded wheel rims are in great condition, ith each accompanied by Michelin All-Season Rainforce MX4 tires.
For the mechanical portion of the vehicle, he engine performs well. Areas that need attention are the following: Needs wheel alignment, he bushings need to be inspected and greased, he factory A/C and heat do not function, nd there is a minor oil leak in the rear main seal. (From inspection, pril 2015).
