Vehicle was owned by a elderly gentleman who drove with low coolant & overheated the engine. The vehicle was running but was burning coolant due to a blown head gasket. I bought the car as a project to go through the engine & am now getting married & life has changed & I have no time to finish. I bought the car for $3000.00 and spent over $1200.00 on the heads and various parts. At this point I have to take a loss just to stop a project that I cant finish. Thanks wifey!!! The exterior & interior are almost flawless (other than being dusty from sitting). It looks like no one has ever sat in the car. Only exterior flaw is the clear coat starting to diminish on top of the exterior mirrors bases but otherwise paint is very good.
Currently the engine is removed & cylinder heads are off. Cylinder heads have already been rebuilt by Percision Cylinder Head in Mission Viejo & are bagged. I have a box full of various new Genuine Mercedes & OE parts required for re-assembly (I don't have everything but I would say I have 80% of what is needed). Parts that will be needed are a wiring loom, knock sensor, and various small engine parts. The cylinder heads, all original parts, & all new parts will be neatly placed in the trunk & organized. The battery is currently flat from sitting here but otherwise everything was working when it was parked.
I have already paid the tags once but haven't completed the transfer as it cannot be smog checked until running. The vehicle is sold as is for a project to repair or parts or whatever the buyer wants. and the buyer is responsible for any smog requirements to get the vehicle registered.
This is not a turn key car but is an awesome car and can be completed for a great price if someone is willing to put in some elbow grease.
