Description for Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 1976

Exterior in good condition. save for small ding on front right quarter panel. small chip in paint on trunk. ding on rear bumper (see photos). Small rust spots in corners of windows and rust in wheel wells. Interior in poor condition. LOTS of work done under the hood at my friend's shop (see photo of invoice). but has a blown head gasket and lost compression on 2 cylinders. Had to two-foot it back from the shop. but she made it. so you might have to bring a trailer. New bushings in shifter. new front and rear shocks (Bilsteins in rear). Electrical all functional (power windows. moon roof. radio antenna). Door lock system losing vacuum. so partially works. Fairly new Michelins all around. Just replaced radiator with a used one from Adsit. Bought it in Pennsylvania as third owner a few years ago for $4600 and have put around that in renovation/repair. (I'll throw in the various hard-to-find extra gaskets with purchase--see trunk photo). 5-digit odometer read just over 22. 00 when I got it. and when I took it to the dealer for a tune-up/diagnostic. they estimated more like 250. 00. Odometer turned at purchase and still turns now. currently reading 27. 21--assume it has 227. 21 miles. Got 19mpg. Always a head turner and a crowd pleaser. a joy for cruising around town and a few road trips. but she's old and needs a good home (and head gasket!).
