1960 Mercedes Benz O319D Panorama Bus -Rare Panorama Bus Project--Pile of Original Trim Included--Prior Chevy Drivetrain Conversion Unfinished. Missing Motor--All Glass Is Still Good--Imported from Canada--Not Titled in USA yet-Another one of my projects that I have finally accepted I will never have a chance to finish. I have 4 of these o319 Buses and I am going to trim down my 319 herd in order to make space. This bus came out of Canada and someone had tried to complete a Chevy drivetrain conversion but never finished. The rear axle. driveshaft and transmission were all installed. The bus currently does not have a motor in it. I have all the paperwork from importation and the US CUSTOMS form 7051 with the red stamp proving proper importation. but I have yet to title this here in Oregon. If that is needed. for an extra $600 I can hire a tow truck and spend a few hours at the DMV in order to finish this process. The paperwork would take about three weeks to process. The glass is all present and is excellent besides a few small nicks and one dime sized chip in the windshield. The gaskets are actually mostly decent. There are a few that are dried and may need replacing. This is extremely rare to see a nice full set of panorama bus window glass!The seats are not original but are actually quite nice. They are not mounted yet and will need to be bolted into place. I have some spare seat cushions that match if the potential buyer would like more to match the set. All of the interior door panels and see panels have been removed. but there is a full set of nice white panel sheets to make interior panels out of. The body has been gone through before and has had some bodywork done at one point. You can see evidence of this on the sides and rear of the bus. Despite having a few areas of dents and damage. there are no areas of major rust concern. The underside is also completely solid without any rust through the chassis. The trim appears to be mostly complete. I believe a few of the longer pieces are missing. but most of the smaller stuff is there. See the last few photos for the interior and exterior trim bits. There are some pieces that have been badly bent unfortunately. The sunroof has been shut with two pieces of sheet metal. It was originally the webasto canvas style retractable sunroof. Included with the bus are three smaller webasto style sunroof assemblies that will help in making one complete unit for the bus. or are at least a source of parts. This bus is definitely a project and I would personally like to see this switch back to a dually rear end with an original 190 diesel motor and mated column shift transmission. Despite being a project. these buses command large money once together and in nice condition. All of the glass gaskets and seals are available from Germany.
